Senator has been sick for about a month. Our vet told us that it was likely that he would never be cured or even made healthy, so we made the decision this week that his quality of life was not good enough. We took him to the vet on Friday afternoon and had him put down. Putting a nine month old puppy to sleep is just about the saddest thing that we've ever done, but we're confident that it was the right decision. We're going to miss him.
