Happy Birthday, Pablo!

Today is our nephew Pablo's 5th birthday. Here's a picture of him on his 4th birthday, wearing the baseball helmet we bought for him. Good looking boy.
Fourth of July weekend

Our friends Dania and Jonathan (of whom who we managed to get not one picture!) came up to Albany for the Fourth of July. We spent the 3rd at our friend Hannah's parents' cabin in the Catskills. A little swimming in the pond, a little croquet, and a very nice afternoon.
ps. Sorry about the long delay in blogging. We've been busy doing things instead of playing on the computer for a change.

We were fed a delicious summer dinner.

Hanging out on the back deck.
Jim and Ana-Guri

Our friend from Decorah, Jim, and his girlfriend from Oslo, Ana-Guri, were on an East Coast road trip and stopped by our house for a night last weekend. They were here just in time to watch the World Cup final and then to have a nice evening together.
Lake Placid

Grrrr.
We went up to the Adirondaks this weekend and camped in Lake Placid. Annie's got a lot of camping experience, but it was all new to Sen. He turned out to be pretty good at it.

Our fabulous new tent with our fabulous camping dog. (She's got her own creature comforts -- her crate -- in the background.)

Rachel's mom bought us this tent for Rachel's birthday. She chose this one specifically because it is tall enough for Ben to stand up in. Stand up and then some -- he can even raise his hand!

This is why people go to Lake Placid. Beautiful.

These are the ski jumps from when Lake Placid had the Olympics. They are very strange things to see popping up out of the woods.

It's not the Chesapeake Bay, but Sen sure loves this lake.
