work on the bedroom

This is the only picture we have of the bedroom before we started working on it this weekend. The furniture and shelf are from the people who lived here before, but the picture does show the color of the walls.
how it looks now

new paint, new very cool dentil crown moulding (not that the moulding is all up -- it's hard to install!) We'll put more pictures up when the room is done and all put together.
springtime . . .

. . . is sometimes here. Sometimes it's warm, sometimes it's not. But it's usually sunny, and the flowers are out in force. Check out the ones behind us.
meat!

Ben's taking full advantage of the new barbeque. Two pounds of steak right here.
Rachel's never been so proud

Look! Flowers that Rachel planted are blooming! These are probably the ones that Sue planted, though, since they look pretty healthy.
Ben's trip to Yankee Land

Ben went to a Yankees game with his coworkers last week. Unfortunately, the Yankees won.
our brave girl

Roxie's starting to spend a little time outside. She stays pretty close to home, but she goes a little further each day.

Kennedy's are here

Ben's parents, Bob and Sue, came to visit us this week. They brought beautiful weather with them from San Diego, at least for the weekend. We went for a gorgeous walk in Washington Park in downtown Albany on Saturday and on the Empire State Plaza on Sunday. Here they are on a bridge over the lake in Washington Park.

Look how beautiful that weather is . . . can't wait until spring is really here.
baby Rhett

There were some pictures of our nephew Rhett left on Bob's memory stick. Isn't he the cutest thing?
Bob's wide angle lens

Bob has a wide angle lens that he's very proud of. Pretty cool photos he can take.
a family affair

Bob and Sue bought us an incredible barbeque for our beginning of spring gift. Here they all are putting it together on Saturday night.

The birth of our deck

We've got flowers, furniture and a barbeque. What more could we want? Spring. Friends.
The Kennedys and the Egg

By far the strangest building in the area. The Egg is an auditorium, part of the Empire State Plaza. Most of the government buildings in town were built in the 1960s as part of the state's largest public works since the New Deal. BTW, isn't Ben a charmer?

Of course, it's some government building.
